Improve lighting for video calls
A dark image does not automatically mean you need a new webcam. First observe the lighting in your video preview. This guide offers a setup method and two lights to examine, not tested by Jess, without promising identical results in every room.

Try your setup at your usual call time
Open the video preview where you normally sit. Look for a bright window behind you, a shadow across one side of your face or a lamp reflected in your glasses. Repeat in the evening if you also take calls after dark.
Change one thing at a time
Try moving your chair or an existing lamp, then compare the preview. Keep the framing the same to observe the change. If your current setup works for you, a new light is not essential. Avoid drawing conclusions from a single image taken at a different time of day.
Choose a position before choosing a light
Litra Glow and Litra Beam are two LED lights in the Logitech range. Examine their dimensions, stands and documented controls on the manufacturer page. Plan the cable route and check power requirements. Do not assume a mount will fit your screen just because a photo shows a similar screen.
Adjust reflections and keep useful notes
After installing the light according to its instructions, gradually adjust its position and brightness while watching the preview. Check reflections on glasses and nearby surfaces. Note a position that works for you so you can reproduce it, keeping in mind that natural light changes during the day.
