Choose a blower for dusting
Choose a tool for the task and plan its upkeep.

Start with the surfaces to clean
List the objects and areas involved. Check their instructions to find out whether a blower is suitable: a dusting tool does not automatically suit every component or filter. If the object’s manufacturer does not permit this method, use the maintenance method it recommends.
Check airflow control
Look at the settings and included nozzles for the exact model. Consider access to surfaces, weight in your hand and storage space. Marketing power figures alone do not establish that a model is suitable for a delicate object.
Plan charging and maintenance
Check the included charger or cable, charging instructions and storage conditions. Distinguish manufacturer information from a user’s impressions. Battery life that satisfies one person does not provide a measured duration applicable to every use.

Prepare a useful comparison
Note permitted tasks, settings, included accessories, power supply and required maintenance. Read the instructions before first use. Compare the cost of the complete setup you actually need. Do not add nozzles or accessories simply because they appear in a bundle.
